After deleted or lost partitions have been found, users can select which partitions to be restored. This is a great way of ensuring that you only retrieve the data you need and not reloading large amounts of data. Acronis Disk Manager 12 is a great disk and boot management tool, featuring comprehensive partition recovery tools and data security features.

Our test system was able to quickly and easily find and restore a Linux file that had been deleted many months ago. This utility is worth the cost if you have ever lost a Linux partition due to malicious or buggy software.

Acronis Disk Director 12 is a better program than others on the market. Acronis offers telephone, email, and live chat support in the event of technical problems.

However, these charges are higher after 30 days. Linux Compatible —Acronis is a Linux partition manager that supports all Linux versions. This allows you to easily resize partitions. Split, merge, move and resize partitions — Automatically resize, copy and move partitions without losing or altering your existing data.

Acronis Disk Manager Server can be installed and used on only one server. If you have multiple systems, you can use multiple licenses. You may also consider purchasing a Technician license. Acronis Disk Director Acronis disk director full crack helps you to to form disk partitions and manage them to store totally different file on one disk, deleted data and recover lost.

Acronis Disk Director 12 license secret is ready to scale back time backup image and works with diagnostic tool to boost overall performance of the PC. Acronis Disk Director transportable permits you to explore partition information before partitioning operations. With the assistance of acronis disk director windows ten you can also hide or build visible partitions of any kind. Acronis Disk Director eleven car optimizes harddisk area usage and preview changes created in a very partition layout before apply them to disk.

I think the cloned drive will need to be initalized afterward but that's easy enough. Make sense? I have to admit I could see making mistakes without having read, re-read, and reading again the procedure you laid out. The biggest deviance from your instructions was I allowed Windows to fully install and then checked the partition.

After this project is finished it will be time to try a Universal restore from my older Windows 7 Pro 64 to a newer Windows 10 Pro 64 system. The CPU, memory, and drives are getting too old to handle the many programs and hardware the observatory through at it. I may just rebuild the newer computer back to windows 7 Pro 64 and then try a Universal restore. Win 10 updates have a tendency to kill observatory systems and cause massive issues needing to be resolved after almost every update. Very good!

Although I am surprised that the recovered image did not boot and that you had to use the Windows Automatic Repair. If not, that would explain what happened. The BCD on the System Reserved partition had the correct location of the Windows partition since you didn't move it when restoring the image. So I don't understand why this happened. As for doing the second SSD, you have several choices.

You should make an image of the entire disk and restore the entire disk this time. I would not use DD12 to clone partitions; too many opportunities to mess up. True Image is the better product for this task. Once you have an image saved to external storage with True Image, you have multiple opportunities to try different restoration methods.

If one doesn't work then you can try another method and you always have the saved image to fall back on. Sound advice for sure. I'll have to look and see if I've already done that, I don't really remember. You could, but if you restore an entire disk image to a disk, then you make an exact copy.

If the source disk was MBR then the destination disk will be also. Actually that drive is now MBR. I did that some days back and lost the data as I expected. Seems I used DD12 and converted it expecting to loose the data. As long as I had the one good drive I figured I could recover. I have installed and setup the dual boot configurations with EasyBCD and iReboot and now making full C drive backup, including both partitions.

I can happily say that the system is now cloned and dual booting correctly. Now I can start to cumstomize each side for it respect imaging systems. What a relief to get to this point. I have a good Acronis backup of the Win 10 OS on this disk.

While there is no 1-step MBR to GPT conversion option for your case, you can still apply the alternative solution that you have described. Steps would be as follows:. Upon initialization everything on that disk will be deleted, disk will become emtpy with only "Unallocated space" on it. You do not need to create any partition manually.

The issue is already known and a workaround has already been found by another user. I'm asking for you to address this issue, so we don't have to do an extra step, or at least recognize the issue and make it known to unsuspecting users so they don't go through the same hurdles as we did. In reply to I found an by David Braun. I did three more things, and now the David Braun fix as above works on this machine.

Whether this makes the machine fall back to the internal HDD or not depends on timing. Which of these things is critical, I don't know. I did them all, and now the machine boots to the Acronis disk. I am going to start a new thread to address my specific situation, but it's related to this topic, so it may be helpful to address it here as well I'd certainly appreciate any help if anyone else has encountered and solved the same problem.

I have tried cloning and restoring from a full backup. When I try to boot from my Acronis disk, I get the "Video mode setup error" referenced above. I can disable secureboot and enable legacy support as suggested above, but, while this lets me boot from the disk into Acronis, if I try either to clone the HDD or restore from a full backup onto the SSD, I get a warning message stating that when the operation completes the system will not be able to boot from the destination disk.

However, the only way I can get Acronis to boot from the disk is to disable secureboot and enable legacy support. If I A leave secureboot enabled or B disable both secureboot and legacy support, then I'm back to Acronis not booting due to the "Video mode setup error. I have also tried creating a Windows PE version of the rescue media to no avail. I downloaded and installed the Windows 10 ADK and attempted to create new rescue media, but after a few minutes I get the error message: "The device is busy.

You will also get a log from the script showing any issues if any arise. This error is only because the laptop has TWO video cards and there is a very easy fix. Save and Exit. Ryan's solution may well work I haven't tried it , and it sounds simply enough to be worth a try, but I was able to resolve the issues I was having by creating and using a linux-based recovery media usb drive.

By creating and using a linux-based recovery media usb drive , I was able to get my computer to boot into Acronis without altering or disabling secureboot. According to all the messages in Acronis, the operation completed successfully. I did have to uninstall and reinstall a couple drivers one for the touch-pad and one related to audio , but I believe that had more to do with security updates from HP. In any event, my laptop has been working correctly with the new SSD installed for several months now.

This solved the video problem for me after three days of trying to back up my new laptop. Thank you! I have a Lenovo X1 Extreme with both integrated and discrete Ti video cards.

Select an item by using the keyboard: 1. Acronis True image bit , 2. Acronis System report. The USB drive was read for a bit and then nothing happened - the screen stayed black.

It seemed Acronis has loaded but couldn't appear on the laptop's screen. After that, I could reboot only by holding the power key.

Connecting to an external monitor through different cables didn't matter - still black screen. I really dont know what to do i have disable one of my 2 GPU and only using the intel one, and got the same error also i have a lenovo legion Y and dont know what to do i can go to advance setup on BIOS.

My main language is Spanish so i barely understand the guy who talk about optimus and the last guy who post here Waiting for a response thanks in advance. Now i have solved the problem. The most easy way is:Take an old monitor 12" or 13" with low resolution x Make your bootmedium and than it works perfect with the original monitor.

Build rescue media with winpe instead of the default Linux method. Please check out the MVP winpe builder to simplify the process. It's linked below in my signature. In , you will need to first download the windows ADK from Microsoft Also linked below. Hello Herbert! Have you tried with the MVP media builder? If yes, but the issue still persists, I'd suggest opening a support ticket, so that our engineers can help. Thanks to everyone who posted their findings.

I was able to finally get Acronis True Image to backup the factory-sealed image on my new Alienware m15 using the steps below. Change to AHCI. Press F10 to save settings and reboot. Now, immediately press F12 repeatedly to get the Boot Menu. Select Option 2 for Acronis True Image. Backup the Disk. Change to UEFI.

Change to Disabled. David, I think 1 and 2 were key. Double check without switching to legacy. In some systems, to get a USB to boot you do have a one have legacy on, but then you want to make sure youre using the one time boot menu to still boot the USB in uefi mode. Authored on.
